"Ethan's Wish" tells the story of Ethan Zakes, a boy who died too young of a rare disease called A.L.D. (Adrenoleukodistrophy), and how his family teamed with the local skateboarding community to raise awareness of the disease and promote mandatory screening that will eventually save the lives of young boys everywhere.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP RIGHT NOW? Email Dr. Pendergrass and Dr. Yu at the WA State Board of Health. They are the two members that are most actively involved in the ALD initiative. Simply request mandatory newborn screening for ALD!
