The first annual EZ Rocks Skate for a Cure skateboard competition was held in memory of Ethan Zakes who lost his life to Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) at the age of 10. Raising funds to support the establishment of newborn screening programs for the early detection of rare childhood disease such as ALD and to provide academic scholarships for at-need youth. Big thanks to the Zakes family, friends, Mitchie Brusco, Sky Siljeg, Bluebird Bio, all the sponsors, Blitz from the Seahawks, Bellevue Skatepark staff, all the volunteers and everyone who participated!
